Again, we learn our notes in five finger position and then we learn to read time signatures, notes in the treble clef, chords, and rhythms, as well as playing complete songs. If your goal is to become a serious musician, many hours of practice is key but that cannot happen if you don't have the drive and motivation for it, so you must first enjoy what you are doing.
