Once the student has progressed to have grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for them. For adults, I try to find out what they are interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun. I like to develop a plan to get each student to a level of proficiency in which they can direct themselves toward the next goal. This is done through consistent methodology and practice scheduling, as well as periodic reviews of the students past progress up to date. As to teaching experience, I started teaching 5 years ago, I had been working as private instructor for almost 2 years before I go to college. I have had 5 students, ages were in the range of 11 to 21. My goal for teaching for beginner students was to always keep engaging.
