I'm a passionate instructor who thoroughly loves bringing the gift and love of music alive in students. In 2017 I had graduated with my Fine Arts in Music degree at Mchenry County College. I enjoy discovering the new sounds in music and writing when inspired. Currently I am apart of a worship team at my church and I play keyboard but I find I play mostly without sheet music. Since then, I have taught in church programs (choral students working on solo voice) as well as in the university setting (student teaching and TA voice class support). During a typical lesson I will hear the pieces my student was practicing the week before, make corrections or suggestions and have them play the piece again. Then I will assign them new pieces and have them play through them making sure they understand what to do and explaining any new concepts and giving suggestions on how to practice. As the students get more advanced I will also have them play scales andexercises and have them work out of a theory book. Read More

I try to burn a more passionate, positive fire under my students, rather then make them dread going to lessons. For Adults: I go at the speed and pace you want to go at! I take into consideration adult responsibilities and what your goals are for their choice of study. I keep lesson plans a bit more loose depending on skill level and available practice time.
