My student, no matter what age, starts with light vocalizing, lip trills, humming etc. for young students I usually pick a light song and work on basics using the song as an exercise. My older students have to work a little more, exercising scales, monitoring placement, support, palette work. A song is picked by me and the student together. Read More

Over the past fifteen years, I have helped conduct workshops and assemblies that cover information about the steelpan and music from around the world, including calypso, soca, jazz, Hawaiin, reggae, and afro-cuban styles. These events have taken place at, but are not limited to the following venues: libraries (for summer reading programs), summer camps, schools and even day care centers.
