I partnered up with the local middle and high school to teach one on one lessons as well as group sectionals. Admittedly, I wasn't entirely sure how to take on such a job, but soon discovered that it was something that came naturally to me, and something I enjoyed doing. I have taught students of varying levels, from a complete beginner unable to read any music, to someone who was able to sightread proficiently. I started playing violin when I was 7. I've been with Musika since 2011 (while I was in college). I have experience teaching Suzuki method (violin) from young age kids to old students. I also have been teaching Suzuki Method (K-12) strings at a local arts school and also at a Korean community center. I am currently teaching music subject at school as well. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern pop music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the violin and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

I have been a high school and middle school teacher of the humanities for a couple of years now, which I have greatly enjoyed. In addition to this, I have a couple of piano students, which I taught for a while now. I encourage them to practice consistently at least for a half an hour a day so that they progress faster. In my lessons, I assign a classical piece, scale exercises, and even a pop piece to motivate them so that they not only continue to improve, but also implement what they learned in the pop piece itself.
