However, generally, I will start with technical exercises to help the student work on a particular skill that can be used in a variety of songs (ex. tone production, vowels, diction). My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching marching band eight years ago. After graduating from Tarleton State University in 2014, I began teaching at the junior high and high school levels. In between teaching classes I would help students after school with working on their music for class as well as encouraging students to push themselves with more challenging literature. I was blessed with many performance opportunities during college, including piano recitals, musical showcases, accompanying performers and chamber ensemble music. Although I enjoy performing, teaching is my first passion.
