My teaching expereince dates back to before I graduated undergraduate school. Since I had a semester to wait for Commencement, I was afforded an opportunity to work as a Teacher assistant, in an Open Classroom Learning Environment. This immediately preceded a very rewarding Student Teaching experience in the rural southern state of North Carolina. I have established an exceptional playing career spanning from Middle and High School, having won chairs in multiple All-District honor bands, to performing with numerous ensembles spanning genres such as classical, jazz, and funk. Currently, I actively perform with the Greensboro Concert Band, Tobacco Road Trombones, and the Kings of Swing Jazz Orchestra. This means lessons will be tailored to each student's interest, while still following a structured progression to help them gradually advance. All students will be guided through long tones, scales, technical studies, etudes, and solo pieces. Students at higher levels may also include orchestral excerpts.
