My teach experience began in my freshman year of college when I worked as a string/theory instructor at the Lake Country Conservatory of Music in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin where I worked with students of all ages and skill levels. I have worked as a private instructor for almost eight years now and have only grown to love it more with every lesson that I conduct. I'm a firm believer in taking a student where they are and building off of their interests. Finding what a student is interested in and using that as a starting point is a part of my teaching approach. At the same time, there are some things that are critical to be taught at every level that should be incorporated on some level so there's a holistic and balanced education. I keep refining and reviewing my curriculum in order to improve it, this can be done by keeping positive and productive communication with faculty members. Also, getting feedbacks from the students and listening to their suggestions can make the outcomes more effective. I believe that keeping myself up to date with new musical and teaching technology with the right application of it will improve the outcomes of learning process and it keeps the teacher closer to the younger generation of students since younger generation is always more involved and open to new technology. Since then, I have only occasionally taught in my home, and moreso spent time exploring my own relationship to music, my body's relationship to the instrument, and to my sound.
