I typically will start each student with preliminary lesson that allows me a chance to assess the student's current level, and knowledge base. This preliminary lesson also gives me a chance to do what I call a "method book fitting" this allows me to assess how compatible different method books are with my students personality and learning style. At the end of the first lesson, I typically will leave the student with a loaner copy of the method book I have "fitted" them with and a basic assignment for the first week. Read More

As a musician, there is nothing more rewarding than sharing my love and knowledge for music with others. Strict rules and "know-how" are important, but music is expressive and creative. If you want to build a bridge, you should build your bridge to be the unique image you choose; however, you need to know which tools to use to get started. Read More
