I started studying piano in my early teens and have continued studying all of my life.  Even to this day I still practice 30-45 minutes every morning.  I have played professionally all of my life as an accompanist for vocal and instrumental soloists, and having taught high school choral music for over 20 years, accompanied a variety of vocal ensembles.  I have performed for weddings, banquets, parties, and civic gatherings, and have been my church's pianist and chief musician for the past 15 years. I am a passionate instructor who enjoys working with students of all ages. I started performing, professionally, at a very young age, during my 6 years at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. From there, I attended the Louisiana State University, as a cello performance major and performed with the school symphony, as well as the Alexandria Symphony, the Lake Charles Symphony and local venues. I was often asked to lead groups in rehearsal and this was where my teaching experiences first began. It started with my colleges Big Band and then with a Saxophone Quartet.
