I knew that I wanted to gain experience teaching private lessons early in my career, so I contacted middle and high school band programs in the Dallas Metroplex and slowly began building a teaching studio. By the following year, I had a full studio with students of all levels. I studied classical music for eight years. I discovered world classical music in high school, fell in love with it, and continued my studies in the art along with exploring worship leadership. I always enjoyed RB and pop growing up, so adding classical was a great bonus to my repertoire. I started teaching modern music along with classical training methods to get the best of both worlds. My voice lessons are tailored solely to the abilities and interests of the student. If they prefer classical repertoire, we work through various art songs in Italian, German, French and English, focusing on technique and diction. If they prefer musical theatre, we have fun with the acting side of it, while learning good technique. I believe every person learns differently and thrives off of positive reinforcement, which is why I base my curriculum solely on who I'm currently working with. Every student I work with has their own specific curriculum. Every week I'll have an assignment for the student to practice that will be expected to be completed.
