Again, a multi key approach, with correct hand positions, five finger positions, chords, keys and which moves at an accelerated pace. Again, I use much of my own material to supplement as needed. I always start my lessons with a brief warm-up to get those fingers flexing! Then, we go through each assignment that was chosen for a particular skill development and look for where there is opportunity for celebration of progress/success. We then home or skills and understanding of tricky spots and continue developing our muscles, knowledge, and overall harping skills. In 2014, I began teaching students privately. I taught multiple students of different ages, with a range from early childhood to late adulthood. Most of my students were beginners, and we worked together for over a year. By the end of our time together, they were able to play fairly advanced music for the time they had been playing, such as "La Folia" by Corelli and "Jesu, the Joy of Man's Desiring" by Bach.
