For example, I enjoy using colored pencils to highlight articulation and dynamics. If a student is younger, I use stickers to help students keep track of where they are in the piece. For beginning students, around ages 5-9, I start with easy songs, but also teach them how singing works. I like to teach technique, and help students improve in their singing. Once students have grasped the fundamentals of singing, I'll let them start looking at solo repertoire so they can practice for a recital performance.
