All students are different so I tend to approach slowly and access their reactions to my suggestions. It is so important not to make a student feel pressured to achieve, especially in Music... For beginners, I start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements and Suzuki Book 1 for cello. These books give a firm structure and introduce classical pieces as well as familiar tunes. Once we finish these two method books, I focus on what the student is more interested in. Are they geared towards classical, or do they really like showtunes? Whatever their interest may be, I find suitable repertoire and continue to challenge and strenghten their abilities. Read More

I began teaching drums in 2014. I decided to look into giving lessons because of my passion for drumming. I wanted to provide an opportunity for others to discover that same passion. I learned how to play on my own. I listened to songs and studied what the drummer was doing. I would try to replicate what I heard.
