I began teaching when I was in High School, where I had several students of varying ages and skill levels. I taught private lessons in their homes. I encourage regular practice, and weekly lessons. A mixture of method books and my own personal written lessons I have found to be the most effective teaching strategy. Books with a variety of popular solos I also utilize. Method books are necessary for skill, but can get boring and repetitive for younger students. Keeping things fresh and interesting is my main focus in teaching. Read More

In May of 2016, I graduated from the University of Connecticut holding a bachelors degree in Music. At UConn, I took - and currently take private lessons with Metropolitan Opera bass-baritone Rod Nelman. My time at UConn was diversely beneficial, granting me opportunities to perform in operas, musicals, an a capella group, a marching band, and professional-level choirs that have performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall. I spent a semester taking classes with the Neag School of Education, working a teaching clinical in a nearby middle school, and a semester with the School of Business, studying entrepreneurship and managerial/interpersonal behavior. At a very young age I learned that I loved music and was very good at it. There was something about music that moved me deep inside and I could connect to music. Music gave me hope, strength, and determination and has greatly influenced my life. Over the last 20 years I have performed professionally as a guitar soloist and in a band setting working in clubs and cafe's in the New York metropolitan area. Read More

In violin and viola, I teach the Suzuki method combined with some contemporary and fun improvisation. I teach theory, but also how to communicate with musicians in general. I am a huge fan of the electric violin/fiddle and am comfortable teaching tecniques and about the equipment needed to play. Read More
