I have been teaching for over 5 years. I began as a private lesson coach and have been consistenatly growing with students for around 7 years. As well as song and technical technique, my students and I also focus in on composition, songwriting, improvosition, discovery of sound and direction, and artistry. I combine both clossical and modern technique's and combine them into a personalized lesson and practice plan for the student. I love to see students nail their jazz band auditions into high school or college, or seeing them get their first recording session from a major artist. Equally fulfilling is seeing beginners play their first C major scale with proper hand position and fingering! If a beginning student I will usually start off with working on scales and use visual tools such as books to help aid the process. For the beginning students we start learning all the fundamentals and details of the bass ie; string names, notes on the fingerboard, right and left hand technique, and how to get the sounds you are striving for on the bass.
