Piano For beginning piano students who are children, I usually start with my own lesson sheets I composed. I also entertain kids by having them color and draw notes and scales. After being familiar with fundamentals, depending on students progress, I recommend them to study with Hal Leonard's or Alfred's. From (Mid) highschoolers to adults, I will start off with Ferdinand Beyer first then Czerny with a couple other supplementary.  Voice For children, I keep them interested with children's song and have them play along singing. When I work with a student, I like to think of myself a motivational coach. I like to share the excitement of every new discovery and accomplishment! When working with younger students, I make sure that the lesson is interactive and fun, while giving clear instructions. Having a sense of humor is also a great motivator, as well as keeping in mind the childs age and attention span. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! It 's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. I prefer one on one lesson time. Parents are welcome to stay and watch if they'd like. I don't have a particular style. I am using Walter Giseking-Karl Leimer methods. The first text book is "The School of Piano playing" by prof. Nikolaev (American edition),which means starting to read simultaneously treble and bass clefs, scales, etudes by Cherni, "Childrens Albums" by Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Inventions by J.S.Bach etc. It is the solid academical approach. Also from the first lessons me and student will play in 4 hands, and student will learn how to accompany and improvise from very first lessons, which is the favorite part of lessons for all my students!
