Instruments: Saxophone
One of the greatest benefits that my students get from me is my ability to teach. I wrap the learning around each student's personality. This has a lot to do with my master's research around cognitive learning . I teach students based on their desires. For example, if a student is interested in being a fireman then the lesson plans should be built around being a fireman. My saxophone students can expect a systematic approach toward learning. Instruments: Piano Organ Keyboard
I love to see my students progress and see how excited they are about what they have learned. I do love my beginner students because they see how music can be so much fun. What I do enjoy is after they have learned the basics of the piano I can finally teach them that song they love so much that probably got them to learn the piano in the first place. Read More
Instruments: Trumpet Trombone Saxophone Clarinet Drums Synthesizer Conga Latin Percussion Music Keyboard
I enjoy hearing the students natural abilities, understanding what kind of music pours out of them, acknowledge that, and from there we develop it. At the same time, direct the student with technique, theory and any other tools that will facilitate the music they are passionate about. Give the students homework, let them know that there is always another step, to lead by example! As a trumpet player it is very important to establish a healthy routine that will build your tone, endurance that in the end you understand enough so you can teach and always evaluate yourself. Instruments: Voice
I'm a fun and knowledgable voice teacher with over nine years of teaching experience. My teaching style is grounded in solid vocal techniques that I teach in a clear and concise manner. I am nurturing and thorough as I prepare my students for their next competition, audition, or performance. I generally have all of my students work on Classical, Musical Theater, and Pop genres so that they are well-rounded. My students have been accepted to many competitive Universities, have been invited to sing with The Connecticut All-State Chorus, and have won singing contests and competitions. Read More
Instruments: Piano Violin Electric Violin
For beginning students, the first things to learn are how to hold the violin. Setup and posture are the most important steps to avoid developing bad habits and the possibility of getting injured. Upon learning the basics of how to hold the violin and the bow is learning how to read music and sing music. If a student knows the basic setup of the violin/piano and knows how to read music then I would start them on repertoire fitted to their level. Read More
Instruments: Drums
I began playing drums at a very early age and performing in my early teens. Throughout my teens I played in various jazz ensembles including the Empire State Youth Orchestra and began my studies at William Paterson in 2012 under the direction of Mulgrew Miller. At William Paterson I gained access to many incredible professional musicians and various performance opportunities in the North Jersey/NYC area. Since moving to North Jersey I've played at various venues such as Shanghai Jazz, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola, Joe's Pub and the Harlem Tavern. Read More
