Encouraging regular, consistent practice and keeping a journal of areas of focus during practice is one of the techniques I encourage for students of all ages to progress and grow in their enjoyment of the instrument. I combine working on technique,correct hands position, improving your sight reading skills, music theory, and repertoire. I always recommend to include working on Studies/Etudes to find out week arias of your technique and find a perfect way to improve it in a smart a fun way.
