For those who are not in band and are just starting, my preferred method for brass and woodwind players is Tradition of Excellence. I am a professional performer and vocal instructor, and have sung on professional stages such as Mount Baker Theater's repertory theater and the Whatcom Symphony opera series in Bellingham, Washington. After working out of the book for an apropriate amount of time, I introduce solo repertiore from both pop and classical genres.
