For brass instrumental students, I generally use the Rubank Method books, focusing on care of the instrument and basic fundamentals. For piano students I use a variety of different method books and am not tied down to any one series. We will also work on scales and the Hannon series For vocal students, I use a series of vocalises, scales and other exercises to strengthen the voice. We will then work on repetroire focusing on what the student would sing at a recital performance. Read More

Having had so much experience with so many apposing methods, I myself have learned that there are as many different types of learners as there are types of people, so it is best to let the student show you what works for them.
