I have been teaching for over 8 years and I have experience teaching in different settings, group classes, and one-on-one private lessons. I am a certified Suzuki violin teacher by the Suzuki Association of the Americas. I have experience working with children starting at 3 years old, teenagers, and adult people. Over the past 13 years, I have taught piano, music theory, and music composition to a diverse group of learners, including school-age children, college students, and adults of distinct backgrounds. From 2014-2018 I received the Graduate Teaching Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, where I led piano courses for non-Music majors, and held weekly recitations and office hours for required courses for Music majors. The theory lessons provide a means to drill on the essentials by means of a work-book style in optional detached pages so that the teacher can take the papers and correct them before the next lesson.
