Music is my life, and I love to share my passion with others! I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1997, majoring in Music Production and Engineering and Voice. I have been producing music, and I have been teaching voice and piano off and on for 25 years. I am a singer songwriter, and I play with my band "Dream Jeannie". I work with each student on a case to case basis, each student has different needs and approaches, all of which I try and accommodate. I encourage my students to practice at least an hour a day, this can be done in ten minute intervals or whatever amount of time the student can maintain focus. My lessons can be fun! Students know that they can approach me with any questions or comments that arise from the subject matter at hand. In spite of this informality, they can rely on my knowledge and experience in the music world. I now teach successfully on Skype or Zoom with distant learners. My students with regular practice (so important) can progress from beginner to advanced. I started playing piano since I was about 4 years old and I've been teaching since the summer of 2017. I passed the ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory exam in 2012 and the ABRSM Grade 8 Piano Performance exam in 2016. I also won several music scholarships during high school. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument.
