My teaching experience began in my undergraduate days at Morehead State University. While teaching private lessons to students across Kentucky I also was a music theory tutor for my peers at Morehead. My theory and private lesson students always gained much improvement, and some of my advanced students even entered all state bands and competitions. No matter if a student is considering a career in music or just considers music a fun hobby and wants to improve, there’s always so much to learn! Read More

I grew up in the Cincinnati area and graduated from Fairfield High School in 2005. I began my college career at the University of Cincinnati as a Mechanical Engineering major. While at UC, I rediscovered my passion for music and felt a calling to share that passion with others in the best way I knew how: teaching. I transferred to Ohio Northern University, and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Read More

It then allows everything that a student do to become easier and truly move forward in their learning at an accelerated pace. For example, it will be easier to play a chromatically technical excerpt in a band audition when the student already knows how to play a full range chromatic scale. Read More

To me as a musician, teaching is as important and as necessary to our art as performing, and it is always a joy to share that art with students. I graduated from Kent State University in 2015 with my Bachelor of Science in Music Education, followed by a Master of Music in Bassoon Performance in 2019, and recently completed an Artist Diploma from UC-CCM. Although a bassoonist primarily, I've performed with orchestras such as the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, and the Warren Philharmonic, as well as bands like the Akron Symphonic Winds, the Cleveland Winds, and the Packard Band.
