I am passionate about trumpet and music and hope to inspire and motivate my students through engaging lessons. I always play my trumpet in lessons with my students. I encourage them to listen to/attend live and recorded concerts as frequently as possible to stimulate their enjoyment for the numerous possibilities that exist in music. I assist in creating performance opportunities for my students and even perform alongisde them if they desire. My teaching experience began in 2009 when I played in a marching band of concourse in Brazil. After one year as a trumpet player the conductor ask me to teach the beginner students. I taught there about two years and I am proud to say that two of my students followed the music career, and one of them is getting graduate at Sao Paulo University in music education. I always provided different exercises and in different ways to they improve technically and encouraged them to listen and play the songs they like, to make the practice not a obligation but a funny moment. My brother was serious about playing so naturally I absorbed the sound, and an idea of how to approach the instrument from listening to his lessons and practice. My interest in the trombone has taken me across the country, and the globe, to work with various performers in various contexts. For beginning students, i start with the fundamentals technical basics of the instrument like long notes, scales and flexibility. Once the student has progressed, i will start with Arban's method book, H.L.Clarke Technical studies for Trumpet and my own exercises. Later i will introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first performance. For adults, i try to find out what the student is interested in, and from there, use that with my instruction to keep the lessons engaging and fun for them, no matter their ability level. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage my students by setting realistic goals and proving homework after each lesson to perfect for the next lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a student desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more.
