I began performing solo and touring around Europe with a Jazz-Funk band, The Freeks. At the same time I began studying at the Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Lodz, Poland to finally move to Miami and graduate from Florida International Univeristy with BA in Music. I performed for Royal Caribbean International Cruise Line for 5 years, which included teaching piano classes for the Royal Caribbean Academy. If the students already had books from prior music instructor, we pick up from the last lessons after answering questions to make sure the students thoroughly understand the previous lessons from the previous chapters. For beginning students, I've used the Mel Bay's modern bass and guitar methods, James Bastien piano library, Essential Elements for wind instruments, Advanced Rock drumming and Master theory books by Charles S. Every student requires a uniquely tailored teaching style, but also they possess a unique set of strengths and "weaknesses" that will be addressed. I do not believe in the "cookie-cutter" approach to teaching. I believe that fundamentals (scales, tuning exercises, lip slurs, technical excecises) are important as these are the key to unlocking the instrument as a means of self-expression, by eliminitating the infamilarity and oddness of the trombone. That being said, I believe that technique should be approached in the most musical way possible, and I strive to teach technique through actual music.  My teachers, as were most successful brass players, were influenced by the legendary tubist of the Chicago Symphony, Arnold Jacobs. I have taught in a variety of musical settings with a wide range of students and abilities. I have taught independently as well as for organizations such as the Youth Orchestra of Central NJ. In 2012 I worked for Camp Encore Coda where I taught trumpet lessons, directed the Symphonic Band, coached jazz combos, and taught music theory/musicianship class.  My experience working as full time music faculty for Camp Encore Coda sparked my graduate research on overnight summer music camp, which has since been presented at three major professional conferences in the music education field at the state, national, and international level. My teaching style points into the proprioception on how music impacts us. For beginners I normally use Talking Trumpet as a primary flow exercises book and Edwards-Hovey Method for Cornet or Trumpet to start the practice in articulations and fingerings in a comfortable pitch. In according with the improvement I add or change practice books. To intermediary level I certainly will apply Arban`s Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet and some alternatives to flow exercises and technical studies.
