I recently graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Trumpet Performance and Music Production. Getting to travel and perform live for large audiences has been some of my most exciting and fulfilling experiences, as well as getting to perform in venues that my heroes have played in. With beginning students, I start with the fundamentals of the instrument, including embouchure and finger technique, as well as the ability to breathe properly, which is fundamental to playing any wind instrument.  I also introduce beginning students to basic musical concepts, such as reading music, and tailor the musical selection to their tastes or to whatever group they are playing in, most often a school band class.  For more advanced students, I observe what areas the student needs the most work in and tailor the lessons specifically to dealing with those areas, as well as catering to their individual musical tastes. I have coached for Harmony Project, Youth Orchestra Los Angeles and many others, as well as Drum and Bugle Corps and Marching bands throughout California. With any student who is in a beginning sort of stage with their musicality, I will start off by teaching them basic techniques, simple notes or chords(dependent on the type of instrument), and rudimentary knowledge of the notational system. I can teach trumpet, horn, trombone and tuba. Beginning students, middle/high school, audition prep for college and I can tutor with music theory/band assignments.
