That way they look forward to practicing and can gain an appreciation for the trumpet. I also want the student to look forward to lessons with me. I became an instructor when the director came to me and asked if I was interested in becoming a music instructor. I always encouraged my students to practice everyday. I encourage my students to set goals that start small and gradually increase over time, and are consistent with their time commitment.
