For all of my beginning students I use the Suzuki method. I am a very fast paced teacher, and I hold all of my students to high standards. As my students get into more advanced music, I select solo literature that best fits their musical abilities. For my vocal students I select music that is appropriate for them from the very beginning. For my male vocal students, I coach them through the voice change, which is a rewarding experience for me. Honesty is key: losing interest or feeling disheartened about your playing is sometimes part of the journey, and I want to remain as open as possible so that my students can feel relaxed and able to talk to me honestly about how their practicing is going. My ideal student is someone who is excited about the violin. I have experience playing all styles of music (classical, jazz, rock, and more!) so if that is something you or your child is interested in, I can help! Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in Cincinnati for the last 2 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

After high school, I took on a couple of private students for my college professors, whom I intermittently taught throughout my bachelors degree. Now, I am currently employed by Angels House of Music in Cincinnati, where I have 5 full time students. Read More
