From experience, these are all the basic tools a student needs to work on their fundamentals before diving into full fledged solo pieces for competitions. Beginning students have to start from the bottom. These students will start by learning how to hold the violin and the bow, for example, and slowly but surely get into reading music and eventually playing simple scales and melodies from an elementary book. I was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan where I began studying piano at the age of five with Professor Tamara Papovich and began playing violin at age six with Professor Gulnara Suleymanova. I began my undergraduate degree at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan in 2004 andgraduated in 2008.Imoved to the United States in 2010to pursue my Professional Performance Certificate atLynn University, Florida with Professor Carol Cole. I have been playing violin since I was 7, and viola since high school. My favorite part of music has always been the connection with others, and I still often play with others, either in chamber ensembles, sight-reading, or as part of an orchestra.
