I consider myself very professional in what I do, I love music since I was little since 1993 and all my life I have dedicated it to this beautiful art. I was formed by the orchestra system of Venezuela, to which I dedicated as a student and then as a teacher a large part of my life, going on national and international concert tours. I was in charge for several years of a music school as executive director in San Cristobal, Venezuela, and as musical director of the Adventist orchestra of Venezuela Tachira headquarters (2012-2015). With young beginner string students, I typically will start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. After a few weeks of that, the student will have grasped the fundamentals. and then I will introduce the Suzuki method, supplementing with the O'Connor Method. For piano I generally will start with the Suzuki method and supplement with any songs the student is interested in learning. For Adults I try to find out what style of music the student is interested in, and how much experience they have and structure my lessons accordingly to keep the student engaged and ensure they are having fun! I use different methods according to the age, my main interest is to help the student love the music and the rest is just up to time and work. I work on having a natural and flexible posture that allows for easy playing. The violin/viola is hard enough already! So I try to make it as simple and strait forward as possible. We work also on music theory basics and ear training. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days,as I began teaching private lessons 17 years ago,and have been consistently teaching students in my home or students home for the last 17 years.Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for students,as it tends to help the students progress and gain a passion for the instrument.I have also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the violin and motivate to practice and continue to learn. I motivate my students by being interactive. With children who are new to music, I use my personal method, which is characterized by providing knowledge while playing interactive games, which helps the children grasp music-related issues. With the older students, I try to inspire them by playing duets, accompanying them, and placing emphasis on a variety of repertoire. Some of them might even perform on the stage in the small recitals prepared by myself every year. Read More

My first experience teaching was during the summer when I began instructing swim lessons for the town pool. I quicly began to seek out a way to teach music before I was in college and built a small studio of beginner cellists in my home town. I also began performing in both classical and other styles during this time, something I continue to do today. The reason I continued to understand more about teaching was because I loved to give back what I had learned from the great people in my life. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
