I believe that no two students are alike. Therefore no single method will produce the best results, if applied blindly. I attempt to identify the strengths of the individual and nurture them to build a satisfactory and most importantly satisfying foundation, from which we can build a successful long term practice. My approach to music and teaching is organic. I see commonalities of expression in nature and music. I always explore different methods that might fit the age and personality of the student but for keyboard lessons I have found success with the Alfred Piano Method. Instrumental lessons usually follow the method book that is selected by their school band director. Beyond that I have a large library of supplementary music to expand the students interest with new styles and composers.I'm very flexible with the method books and after I get to know the student I can select a method that would work the best for instruction. From 2004 - 2014 I taught all Band Instruments, Piano, Violin, and coached singing lessons at the McCord Gallery and Cultural Center in Palos Park, Illinois. I am a professional musician and teacher. I graduated from CSU in 2014 and received my degree in music education, certification in private lessons, and certification in composition. Since graduating CSU I've performed as the Principal Violist of the Parker Symphony for 4 years, been an active member of a string quartet, played in multiple bands, and have also played with members of the band Devotchka. I am well versed in classical music, rock music, jazz, and bluegrass, and have taught students from ages 5 to 60. Read More

I graduated from Belmont University in 2019 with a bachelor of fine arts in violin performance. I have been honored to play at many venues around the world including venues in the Czech Republic, Florida, New York City, Nashville, Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Denver. I have taught Violin for eight years and it is one of the most rewarding aspects of my violin world.
