I began teaching private violin and viola lessons in 2012, and I greatly enjoy working with my students. They range in age from 3 1/2 to adult, and each one has been unique. After beginning lessons with my first student, teaching a semester of music theory, and teaching a summer camp, I became interested in Suzuki methodology and pedagogy. I find that for younger students especially, this method allows for more parent involvement at an age when many parents want to be more involved, and many children equally appreciate this involvement. I was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan where I began studying piano at the age of five with Professor Tamara Papovich and began playing violin at age six with Professor Gulnara Suleymanova. I began my undergraduate degree at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan in 2004 andgraduated in 2008.Imoved to the United States in 2010to pursue my Professional Performance Certificate atLynn University, Florida with Professor Carol Cole. I am currently completing my bachelor degree for Violin Performance at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music. The skill level of my students range from Beginner to Intermediate. For Piano Students: My beginner students start with the Bastien Piano Basic Method Books. I assess what book level is necessary during our first lesson. Other beginner material I use are: Alfred's Basic Piano Library Lesson Books, Older Beginner Piano Course (For Adult Beginner Students), and Piano Adventures series.
