I am largely a self-taught player. I play for 1-3 hours each day, honing my skills and feel. I dont teach reading, although I use basic notation for exercises and grooves. I have played in numerous musical situations, from jazz to rock, blues, country and even Cabaret, both on the East Coast and in the Bay Area. I played with the Musician's Workshop orchestra in Temecula, CA while in high school. The orchestra was a beginner program and I joined to play as a mentor. I enjoyed mentoring the younger players in the group and did some x22mini lessonsx22 during our playing breaks with some of the wind musicians. This began my love of teaching.
