For beginning students I use the Bastien System. For Adults, I use The Alfred Adult beginner for Piano Lessons. I try to adapt the method to the skill of the student, which incorporates my own system, based on years of teaching. I teach according to the student;s skill, and at their own pace. I sometimes use the Trinity College of Music, london, syllabus. Classes consist of warming up exercises, then the student works on the music assigned and the Instructor gives it a grade. Read More

I always give positive feedback on any execution before talking about things we can improve on. I do this to let them know that they are doing well, but we can always strive to get better. I always ask "how does that feel" and "do you understand"? I do this because singing should never hurt. If it hurts then its wrong and we need to correct it. I ask the second question, again, to make sure there are no communication barriers and to make sure I am explaining things in a way that they understand. Read More

I work with Bastien, Alfred, and Nikolaev's methods. I also like to use different ways of teaching for different studends as one might not be as fun and satisfactory to everyone. I love giving my students the option to expess themselves and approach them with the methods they enjoy and desire. I am a very creative musician and singer with an incredible passion for imparting wisdom to upcoming and improving musicians and singers. I've loved music ever since I could hum a tune and snap my fingers, and it has always been my greatest mode of expression. I started college majoring music composition and theory, but left after a year to join the Air Force. While serving, I traveled to many different countries performing and teaching around the world.
