Seven years ago my career as a musical theatre actor led me into the world of teaching and for that, I could not be more grateful. I have a great deal of experience working as both a voice teacher and a musical theatre teaching artist. I have taken several courses in different music pedagogy and techniques as well as genres of music.  Using the knowledge from these courses I have been enabled to form my philosophy of teaching to incorporate different teaching styles to help my students.  I feel that the main prupose of these lessons is to aid the students in their needs and wants whether it is understanding certain parts of music theory, techniques, or just understanding the basics with a piece of music.  Also, my students feel that they are able to come into a lesson with some ideas about what they want to get out of lesson while including my thoughts on what they need to work on.
