I have recently finished the fourth and final year of my doctorate degree in voice at the University of Oklahoma and am currently working on my dissertation. At OU, I studied with former Metropolitan opera baritone Kim Josephson. I was a good singer when I arrived at OU, but Kim, who has taken lessons from the opera legend Corelli himself, has transformed how I sing. I've taught in New York City, Los Angeles, and Oklahoma since 2009. In New York City, I teach theatre technique at a musical theatre school. In Los Angeles, I teach Alba Technique at an Actor's Workshop. In Oklahoma, working with children, I've taught ages 6-adult, directing musical and theatrical productions like Grease, Les Miserables, Much Ado About Nothing, and The War of the Worlds. Piano Lessons: For beginning students who are very young, I start with Bastien Piano Basics or Hal Leonard Essential Elements. For adults/teens, I use the KJOS Bastien book for adults or the upper level books by Hal Leonard.
