Teaching piano is a great joy. My goal is to help students develop the skill to make playing music fun and satisfying, whether their goal is to become a professional or to simply enjoy playing for its own sake. I've worked for several arts agencies (Arts Horizons, Healing Arts Initiative, CREATE) so I've had the privilege to teach music in a variety of settings. In the past, I have taught a couple of students who were beginners. One student was not American, and I had to teach her proper English pronunciation, while teaching her vocal technique. She was a hard worker, and came prepared the next week. Therefore, I could work at a faster level with her, then could I with another student who was progressing more slowly. If I can make a difference by teaching, in vocal technique, but also in the love of music, having fun, and finding and tapping into the creative part of my students, then I did my job.  Read More

Born and raised in Paris, France I speak French, English , German and Italian fluently. From a musical family I began learning the guitar at age 6 and the cello at nine. I grew up in a musical family and began with the piano and violin then took up singing when I was 15. I found that I could excel and after living two years in Bolivia, came back and studied voice with a well traveled professional baritone in Seattle. He encouraged me and then I was able to apprentice at the Lyric Opera in Chicago for 2 years. It prepared me to be a professional singer, which I have done for over 30 years. Read More
