Hi! I am an Opera Singer from Bolivia. I moves to the U.S 5 years ago and graduated from the Manhattan school of music with a BM in Vocal Performance. I am currently pursuing a MM in Opera. I love working with kids of all ages and adults who love to sing. I love singing jazz and pop although I mainly perform Classical Music. Ive been teaching voice for over 5 years. My students ages range from 10 to 80 and they are In different levels and have different goals/interests. Although Im classically trained and I have many students following a classical path, using the bel canto technique, Im able to provide the student with tools to sing any genre, and for that I use a Cross Training technique, which embraces classical and vernacular styles, such as pop, rock, musical theater, Brazilian music (like samba and bossa nova). My teaching style is relaxed and encouraging of every student. No student should be made to feel less than, regardless of what experience level they are bringing to the studio. Respectful interaction and gentle redirection has served me well when working with students, even when they become frustrated. It is important to reassure and encourage while also pointing the student towards the methods and exercises that will serve them to overcome any current obstacles they are facing vocally. Read More

As a teacher, I have worked on vocal technique and coached audition material with many fellow actors. I have also worked with high-schoolers on material from musicals. I am a very patient, fun and challenging teacher for all skill levels.  I have small recording studio in my home that I use to make demos for my students, or record lessons and backing tracks. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio and conservatories/colleges more than 18 years. Encouraging regular practice is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. My teaching style is a something I consider to be a hybrid: I combine the academic knowledge I have gained since I started my first piano lesson at four years old, along with the real life experience I obtained as a full-time traveling musician. I take this unique style of teaching and apply it in a very engaging and stimulating learning environment.
