Most repertoire will be taken from early italian songs, art song, folk songs, or musical theatre. The students will have a strong influence on what pieces he or she sings. For intermediate students I want to really forcus on text painting and understanding the words. Also we will continue building on basic skills learned as a beginning student. I truly believe that when students are nurtured and given a comfortable space they will excel as creating music and art is vulnerable and requires the student to let go. Positive reinforcement is the most important tool any teacher can have in their arsonal, and I try to praise my students every time I notice imporvements and support and assure them when confronted with difficulties. My teaching began in the late 1990's as professional musician in the United States Marine Corps teaching new Marine Musicians how to double & triple tongue and play minor scales as well as Greek Modes.I enjoyed the challenge of teaching someone a skill or technique.
