After college and marrying, I spent several years in Greece raising my daughters. There, I launched a career in teaching English. My students ranged in age from 3 years old to 65. My musical backround made the lessons fun. I helped organize concerts, musicals and performed with bands. I also welled with pride in watching my daughters participate in these events. . My student load for teaching was quite large right off the bat, but I found out quickly that it was absolutely wonderful to teach so many different kinds of singers! The students I teach at the college are mostly Theater Arts majors, but all of them enjoy learning a basis in classical technique. Next year will mark the beginning of my tenth year of teaching at Muhlenberg, and I couldn't be happier or more proud of the students I have taught! Read More

I have written and recorded music since I was 12 years old. I have learned over the years of recording and practicing how to use my voice and picked up very efficient techniques when I had attended CAPA. I still apply many of those techniques in my every day singing, and in my lessons. This could come down to many factors including confidence in one's self to sing, lack of knowledge of proper vocal technique, lack of consistency in one's practice, lack of drive to continue on with vocal training, etc. I'm here to not only be a positive role model as to what one should do to have proper vocal technique and be able to sing freely with ease but I'm also here as a friend to encourage my students to strive to grow, to perform and to constantly work to improve oneself to reach their goals. Before returning to PA in the summer of 2017, I taught Preschool-6th Grade general music in Richmond and Oakland, CA. Along with classroom teaching, I've taught voice, guitar, ukulele, piano and group music classes throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm currently working towards a PA K-12 Education Certification. I been playing the piano since age 3 (over 40 years ago!). Since getting certified, I can play and teach all instruments, with piano being my primary instrument.
