For example, classical guitar requires perfection of technique for good execution. This requires practice of scales, arpeggios and such. I firmly believe in establishing long term goals for which the class is being taught and developed. For beginner students who are children, I tend to lean into the music that they are more fond of listening to and develop an atmosphere of interest while using various colors, singing methods, rhymes that will grasp their attention and in the long run develop their ear. Preschool students: I use everything in my hands to help them to love music and enjoy it. We dance, we jump, sometimes we color ... anything that helps them learn. My class basically consists in developing in the little ones curiosity and musical taste. Through musical games and songs, the students will understand the basics of music theory, tone and rhythm.
