I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2012 I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education and I am a Certified Music Teacher K-12. In 2014 I received my Masters Degree in Jazz Performance. I was trained classically, but my specialty is belting. The biggest thing for me is teaching people to sing correctly. I wont compromise a students health or talent by letting them move too quickly if their only interest is learning songs. Technique is the basis for all things singing; but the outcomes will give you a big, beautiful, strong voice, that will let you do seven shows a week on broadway, or a concert tour for six months, or whatever your heart desires! For beginning students, I always start by learning the notes on the staff that corresponds with their specific instrument. Knowledge and confidence of this is crucial to the learning process. Next, I pick a method book to work through to learn the fundamentals. For trombone, I use Rubank's "Elementary Method." It is a great progressive studies that has great explanations, exercises, etudes, duets, mini-solos, scales studies, and more for young students. Read More

I specialize in the Alfred Series for piano and My First Piano Adventure for young students. This approach focuses on ear training and reading music. Custom exercises and choice of material is based on the student's level and field of study. Lessons are scheduled at the student's convenience as per availability. Frequency and length of lessons is based on the students needs. Young voice students are taught general concepts, music theory, and ear training. Read More

I try to find out what each student is interested in and I guide them from there. I like to encourage each students unique style. I make sure the music is appropiate for the age and level of each student. I believe in positive reinforcement with productive vocal exercises to build on their strengths and improve their weaknesses. Read More
