My parents were opera singers, I grew up in a Latin American setting, and I performed with a symphony orchestra at the age of 13. I have taught piano to students of all levels and ages. For beginning voice students, I'll introduce them to the basics of singing, such as breath support, tone, etc. We'll start with some classical songs in order to cement good technique, and then branch out into the different types of music that the student would like to explore.
