I do tailor my music lessons for the individual student. There really is no making a general statement for a specific person. My method varies with each student. I listen to the students needs and use my expertise to help them achieve their goals. For younger students, I use a variety of material but very much like The Royal Conservatory Program. In the age of, "American Idol", "The Voice" and "Glee", everyone wants to be a star overnight. While this enthusiasm is wonderful, it is sometimes difficult to direct students to material that suits their voice and will build their instrument. Read More

For children, I do not use books or complicate bibliography to teach. I encourage children to discover music through their own curiosity. Using historical imagery and references of the natural world that surrounds us, is very effective way to help children understand music. Recognizing their accomplishments helps students identify what they are doing correctly so they can build on that. Read More
