I provide a judgment-free environment and thus give my students confidence. Through this confidence, they will expand their knowledge of mental awareness, body awareness, and vocal awareness. My extensive education will help provide my students with an accurate academic vocal experience; from the knowledge of repertoire to the way the body works. I pride myself on being able to adapt to a variety of learning styles: from visual to kinesthetic. Read More

For children, I keep it simple and fun, using a variety of methods to help them not only learn a song/songs, but the fundamentals of music reading, and theory. For older individuals, I prefer to work with their interests, and work towards their goals, through tailored lessons. I use a wide variety of styles, and challenge students to look outside their comfort zone-on occasion- to give them a larger repetoire that they may not have thought of. Read More

For children, I do not use books or complicate bibliography to teach. I encourage children to discover music through their own curiosity. Using historical imagery and references of the natural world that surrounds us, is very effective way to help children understand music. Art contains emotion and intellect, so, my intention is that the kids explore that knowledge in a fun and joyful way. For adults, the teaching process is more focus to expand their abilities. I have been teaching since 1998. I love making music fun for my students, while requiring students to learn fundamentals such as music theory and vocal health. Teaching has been part of my life for over 17 years and I hope to continue for at least that many more. I believe music is for everybody and that each individual can improve and learn if they care and make an honest effort. I also teach to the student's focus as the time: if preparing an audition we focus on that. Read More
