In 2014, I began teaching students privately. I taught multiple students of different ages, with a range from early childhood to late adulthood. Most of my students were beginners, and we worked together for over a year. I have been teaching music for many years. I enjoy watching my students progress in the learning process. I always ask what the student wants to learn such as style, a song, etc. I also accompany them playing the piano or guitar once they have learned the basic techniques, etc. This also helps them working with other musicians or singers. I prefer students come to me with contemporary songs they have interest in learning because it is so much easier to retain and develop a love for music when it's a song YOU want to learn. If a student doesn't have a song they want to learn at first, that's perfectly fine! For all students I use a combination of Alexander Technique, Lovetri Somatic Voice Work, and Kodaly Method. I believe singing is a full body experience and focus on maintaining a healthy body and mind. My lessons are student led. At the first lesson I will ask questions about the students goals and cater the lessons to the individuals needs and desires.
