I have a year of teaching Chorus in the Guilford public school system. I also have musical theater experience. I have also been singing in church my whole life and have held an interim minister of music position at East Belmont Church of God. I started to teach privately in June 2012, teaching both voice and early piano. I teach students out of their homes, or a space of their choice. I have mostly worked out of their local schools or churches. I encourage and emphasize regular practice on a consistent schedule. I encourage hard work, but also fun when practicing, and during lessons to help maintain a student's growth and interest. I encourage my students to enjoy their instrument and encourage them to find music they wish to learn that interest them, as well as classical pieces. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to high school. I was a student leader in the marching band, serving as the woodwind captain for the marching band and the senior student conductor for the concert bands. With these positions, I was able to tutor peers and work on expanding my knowledge of teaching music.
