Most of my professional experience has been with the Marine Corps Music Program for 15 years. I also grew up with private piano lessons, and continued band and show choir throughout high school.  Before my career with the Marine Corps Band, I also performed professionally around northern Ohio as a keyboardist and drummer in Top 40 and Rock bands for 3 years. I began my teaching career in Texas.  I have worked as a private guitar instructor at various music schools in Texas and in Southern California for the past twelve years.  I also enjoy teaching guitar, ukulele, and bass guitar to students in my home studio. Growing up, I would imitate voices from diffrent cultures from cuban music, mexican and other spanish styles. My teaching style begins with my assessment of each student's abilities, physical, mental, and emotional. By this method I am able to design a realistic program for each student. Patience and encouragement go hand in hand, acknowledging their accomplishments all along the way. Once some fundamentals are established, I add pieces that the student has an interest in learning.
