I have taught in music schools and studios since 2006 in the Philadelphia area, Northern New Jersey, and South Florida. I have instructed and band directed both privately and in a classroom setting for all ages and abilities. I have the ability to accurately asses where the student is at both within their musical mindset and level of development and keep the student interested as well as challenging them to grow utilizing a combination of an action based strategy, positive reinforcement, musical perspective and realization techniques, and WORK both in the lesson and at home. I started professionally teaching bass and guitar in high school. I still have all of my students that I started out with. Making sure that my students don't get bored during a lesson is my main goal. Most students don't practice what they were taught in a lesson if the lesson was boring. I make sure that all my students stay happy in the lesson and excited to learn new things. Read More

I'm a passionate & seasoned musician and I have been involved in music since my childhood. I was influenced to music by my mother who was an opera singer and a piano player. She introduced me to music and taught the first lessons. From then on I went to different music schools of great reputation that allowed me to become a good musician. I started teaching music 15 years ago. This experience has brought tremendous personal satisfaction to me having been able to see students from all ages and walks of life starting from scratch and becoming experienced musicians and even playing & recording professionally. Although I have experience teaching both private, one-on-one lessons and group lessons in a classroom setting, I find that one-on-one lessons is the best way to learn. This allows students to go at their own pace and not have to feel rushed. Not to mention, it's way more enjoyable to learn when you have a patient teacher giving you support and motivation. I don't like to rush students because after all, most students just want to learn for fun. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 15 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 10 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical, gospel, christian, jazz and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn.
