I have taught several students while I was studying music. I won the third place of the Taipei City Competition of Music among many outstanding competitors in 2015. On the other hand, I strived for the chance of participating in many performances. In 2014, I performed Edward Elgar's Cello Concerto in E minor, Op. 85 with the local orchestra in Hualien. For younger beginners, I will start with the basics of cello, mostly through the Essential Elements books. Once the student is ready, we will mostly stick to the Suzuki method, starting at cello book 1, and moving through each piece. For older beginners, I will still try to stick to Suzuki as a format, but will be open to letting the student choose what they might want to start playing. I started my own studio at the age of 23. I found this to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. In 2000, I entered the Music Education program at The University of Memphis. I continue to teach privately. I have taught children as young as 5 to adults of the age of 72. I have also taught string orchestra for 12 years.
