I have extensive experience as a teacher as well as a performer. I bring these two accomplishments together to provide a well rounded experience for my students.  In High School, I performed with the Kansas City Youth Symphony for 8 years, the Kansas City Cello Choir for eight years, the Missouri All-State for three years, and various other honor orchestras throughout her career. At night I founded my first rock band, Feedback, and later joined WD 40. Selected for the National Youth Orchestra of Canada in 1985, I went on to write scores for string ensembles, a passion I am pursuing as an arranger and composer. My interests are motivated by my passion for world musics and the rhythmic complexity they offer which became the subject of my thesis on Afro Cuban Rumba Guaguanco. Progress is not always easy when learning to play a new instrument. Everyone learns at there own pace, and with each lessons I will set attainable goals for the student. it is best when students have varying difficulties of material within their material in order to provide opportunity for satisfaction despite whatever struggles they may have. I encourage daily practice, even if only for small amounts of time. Effective practice requires some level of independence, and I focus a lot our time on the art of practicing, and how to focus your attention in order to get the best out of your practice time. Started playing the cello at the age of nine, I grew up pursuing my passion as a classical performer, and now have passion in sharing it to others. I graduated at Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Bachelors of Music Performance. At the age of 15, I had my first stage debut at the Winners Solo Concerto Performance with the W Philharmonic Orchestra.
