I graduated from Galileo University in 2007 and I was a formal member of the National Symphony of Guatemala. I love seeing my students grow and make progress toward their goals. Every student is an individual and learns differently, so I strive to develop exercises and practice approaches that work for the particular student I'm working with. I always try to mix compliments and constructive criticism in my teaching. I encourage my students to record themselves throughout the week so that I can give feedback between lessons. Since then, I have continued to teach and gain valuable experience both in private and group lesson settings, and with younger and older students. Going into my sophomore year of college, I realized just how much I loved teaching. I ask them to bring any materials they have and will often recommend books and supplemental material I have had success with. Throughout school and up until I graduated from college, I taught private cello lessons during the summers. I have been a classroom teacher (elementary, middle, and high school, in addition to teaching adults computer programming) for the past twelve years. I thoroughly enjoy working with students of all ages and helping them meet their goals.
